The Fin Addict Angler Foundation and the San Antonio River Authority have partnered to host a free community event focused on outdoor education and environmental stewardship. Held along the San Antonio River, this clinic brings families together to connect with nature through the sport of fishing.

Clinic Highlights

• Aimed at families with children aged 5–16, offered at zero cost.
• Core Skills: Hands-on instruction covers casting, gear setup, knot tying, and general fishing techniques.
• Safety & Care: Lessons emphasize safety guidelines and environmental conservation.
• No License Needed: Participants aged 16 and under do not require a Texas fishing license.
• Gear Provided: All necessary equipment—including rods, reels, tackle, and bait—is supplied at no cost.

Participant Requirements & Preparation

• Schedule: Attendees should arrive between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM to complete the full training program.
• Supervision: Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Attire: Wearing comfortable clothing and applying plenty of sun protection is highly recommended.
