The primary focus of Día en la Sombrilla is to create a space for student organizations to raise funds by selling food and drinks, hosting games, and providing services.
Funds raised by organizations are used for tournaments, conferences, events, and supplies throughout the year. The event provides student organization leaders with project management opportunities, including coordination of the event and individual group fundraising efforts. This opportunity challenges student leaders to build skills in communication, teamwork, and budget management.
