This Mother’s Day, we are uplifting the backbone of so many in our lives and paying homage to Black mothers with the film “In Our Mother’s Garden,” directed by Shantrelle P. Lewis.

We will also be giving back to mothers with a lovely TWO-DAY stay-cation at Hotel Valencia Riverwalk (including free breakfast and valet parking – must be present to win).

Featuring #MeToo founder Tarana Burke; The Roots and Chris Rock tour manager Tina Farris; and cultural critic Dr. Brittney Cooper of Rutgers University, the film takes a deep dive into the complex and dynamic relationship between mothers and daughters, while also highlighting the importance of healing for the Black community to thrive.
