This session will explore how parents’ voices and perspectives guide decisions about the local Head Start program.

Participants will gain valuable skills and strategies for effectively expressing their perspectives and ensuring their voices are heard during Head Start Policy Council meetings. Through interactive discussions, role-playing exercises, and practical guidance, parents will learn how to advocate for their priorities, contribute meaningfully to decision-making processes, and actively engage in shaping the direction of the Head Start program within their community.
