AugustHeart Free Heart Screening: This screening is open to teens aged 13-18.

Registration and a signed waiver are required for participation in the heart screenings.

Heart screenings at this event are generously sponsored by Methodist Healthcare.

SCREENING PROCESS

♥ A parental waiver must be signed in order for your teen to receive a heart screening (included in registration).

♥ Teens should wear loose fitting clothing.

♥ Screening includes an electrocardiogram (ECG). If needed a limited 2-D echocardiogram (ECHO) will be scheduled at a later date.

♥ ECG’s will be read by a cardiologist off-site. Results will be emailed to the address provided at registration and are typically sent within 2-3 weeks of the screening.

♥ The screening process typically takes approximately 20 minutes per student. NOTE: AVERAGE WAIT TIME VARIES.

♥ Screenings are offered at no charge. For those choosing to make an optional donation, $30 offsets the cost to screen one student.
