AugustHeart FREE Heart Screenings are open to teens aged 13-18.
The mission of AugustHeart is to provide free heart screenings to teenagers to identify selected heart abnormalities in an effort to reduce the risk of sudden cardiac death. After his death, August’s parents founded AugustHeart to prevent others from suffering tragic and unnecessary teen deaths caused by undiagnosed heart conditions. - Teens should wear loose-fitting clothing.
- Screening includes an electrocardiogram (ECG). The test will be reviewed by a cardiologist off-site, and results will be emailed within 2 weeks of the screening. IF needed, a limited 2-D echocardiogram (ECHO) will be scheduled at a later date.
