Fredstock is named in honor of Fred Weiss, a longtime Radio-TV-Film professor who taught at San Antonio College for more than 20 years and founded the college’s Music Business Program. Organized and produced by students in the Music Business Program, Fredstock provides real-world training in event planning, artist booking, live sound, video production, and promotion.

As an Official Fiesta® San Antonio event, the festival highlights San Antonio’s vibrant music culture and brings the community together for a day of live performances. Proceeds from vendor and merchandise sales support the Music Business Program and help fund future student opportunities!
