English Dance S.A. features English Country Dances–some from the 1500s, through the Regency Era, into the 1900s, and some written in modern times. English Country Dances are often thought of as elegant and genteel (and many of them are!), but some are also rowdy, fast, and demanding. The dances are frequently done in longways sets “for as many as will” (like contra), but there are also dances for 3, 4, 5 couples, some circle dances, and some square dances. Pre-recorded music will be used.
