Compete for the longest Single Bass\, Catfish\, and Sunfish. \nThe Fin Addict Angler Foundation and The Greenline SA at Brooks are partnering together to host the Annual “Setting the Hook” Youth Fishing Tournament\, where the youth can showcase their skills and enjoy the experience with family and friends. Make this event your annual family tradition. \nCost: Free to the public; registration is required \nTournament Schedule: \n\n8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: On-site registration and check-in.\n8:30 AM – 8:45 AM: Tournament rules and safety briefing.\n9:00 AM – 11:00 AM/12:00 PM: Fishing tournament.\n12:30 PM: Awards ceremony for longest single Bass\, Catfish\, and Sunfish.\n\nThis is a fun event for the youth to learn preservation and patience while appreciating nature and creating meaningful social bonds with fellow anglers. \nEligibility and Participation: \n\nAge Divisions: There are two categories: ages 5–10 and 11–16. (No fishing license for ages 16 and under)\nRequirements: Participants must bring proof of age (ID) and be accompanied by an adult at all times.\nEquipment: Anglers are permitted to use their own fishing gear. Fish must be caught using a rod and reel only. Both artificial lures and live bait are allowed\, provided they are approved by TPWD.
